FAQ

The app submits documents to AADE’s myDATA through Novus Conceptus, our official AADE-certified Electronic Invoicing Provider. The agreement you sign is the provider agreement with Novus Conceptus and is a legal requirement for using the service.

The onboarding form takes 3 minutes to complete. Digital signing happens immediately after — no waiting. Full account activation (AADE authorization via TaxisNet) completes within 1–2 business days.

Can I submit documents before activation is complete?

Section titled “Can I submit documents before activation is complete?”

No. Submission is enabled once your signature has been verified. The submit button in the dashboard will activate automatically once the process is complete.

From the app dashboard, under the Provider Contract tab → Download Signed Contract.

I’m already a user — why am I being shown the onboarding wizard?

Section titled “I’m already a user — why am I being shown the onboarding wizard?”

If you haven’t yet signed the provider agreement, you’ll be prompted to complete the onboarding wizard on your next login. Your details are pre-filled — the process takes 3 minutes and does not affect your existing settings.

No. myDATA Comply submits through Novus Conceptus, an official AADE-certified provider (Πάροχος Ηλεκτρονικής Τιμολόγησης), on your behalf. You only need to authorize Novus Conceptus once through TaxisNet.

What is the “alternative communication provider” asked for in B2C?

Section titled “What is the “alternative communication provider” asked for in B2C?”

When your Service Type is B2C (or Both), you must declare a phone number as an alternative communication channel for your retail receipts. It has to be a line from a Greek telecommunications provider — Cosmote, Vodafone, Nova, etc. — registered to the same ΑΦΜ as the business signing the provider agreement.

A personal or prepaid number that isn’t bound to the company ΑΦΜ will be rejected during activation. Check a recent telecom bill: the ΑΦΜ printed on it must match the ΑΦΜ on your provider agreement. See the Setup Guide for details.

Yes. myDATA Comply is an admin-only app — it doesn’t affect your storefront. It works entirely within the Shopify admin panel.

Any Shopify plan works. You only need admin access to install the app.

How do I show my ΓΕΜΗ number on my PDF documents?

Section titled “How do I show my ΓΕΜΗ number on my PDF documents?”

Open Settings and fill in the optional ΓΕΜΗ field in the company details. It is printed with your company information at the top of the PDF documents. Leave it empty if you don’t have one — nothing is shown. Your profession is asked in the onboarding form, so no mandatory field is left to fill in later.

No. The app detects if an order has already been submitted and prevents duplicate submissions. You’ll see a message with the existing MARK number.

Cancel the document and resubmit. The cancellation counts as 1 submission.

Your submission is automatically queued and will be delivered when AADE is back online. You’ll see a “Pending” status. No action needed — it resolves automatically.

How is VAT calculated — is it included in my prices?

Section titled “How is VAT calculated — is it included in my prices?”

Both modes are supported. If your Shopify prices include VAT, we split each line into net value and VAT; if VAT is added on top, the listed price is used as the net value. If your store has no tax configured at all, the Default VAT Rate from Settings is used — 24% by default, changeable in Settings. See VAT & Pricing.

Most e-commerce orders are paid by card → select POS / e-POS (7). See the Payment Methods page for the full list.

Open the order in Shopify, click More actions → Submit to myDATA, choose the document type, fill in what it needs and click Submit. You get a MARK number and a PDF in seconds. See Submitting Documents.

Retail receipts (11.1), sales invoices (1.1) and delivery notes (9.3) — receipts and invoices can be combined with a delivery note for shipped orders — plus sale on behalf of third parties (1.4), clearance of third-party sales (1.5) and retail receipts on behalf of third parties (11.5). Cancelling issues the matching credit document. See Submitting Documents.

Yes. Choose Sales Invoice (or Sales Invoice with Delivery Note) and enter the customer’s VAT number, tax office and profession. The VAT number is validated, and you can save the details to reuse for that customer. See Submitting Documents.

Yes. OSS (the EU One-Stop Shop) covers B2C sales to consumers in other EU countries. Turn on EU OSS in Settings and those orders are submitted with the OSS VAT treatment. First register for the OSS Union scheme with AADE and enable EU VAT collection in Shopify. See VAT & Pricing.

Can I sell to customers in other EU countries?

Section titled “Can I sell to customers in other EU countries?”

Yes. Turn on EU OSS in Settings and B2C orders to customers in other EU countries are submitted with the correct OSS VAT treatment. First register for the OSS Union scheme with AADE and enable EU VAT collection in Shopify. See VAT & Pricing.

Can I sell to customers outside the EU, like the US?

Section titled “Can I sell to customers outside the EU, like the US?”

Yes. Turn on non-EU export in Settings and orders shipped outside the EU — for example to the US — are submitted zero-rated as exports. Confirm with your accountant that they qualify. See VAT & Pricing.

Can one order have more than one document?

Section titled “Can one order have more than one document?”

Yes. An order can carry a delivery note, a receipt or invoice, and credit documents together. Each is listed with its own status and a menu to download the PDF or cancel it. Cancelling one doesn’t affect the others.

Can I sell goods on consignment or on behalf of third parties?

Section titled “Can I sell goods on consignment or on behalf of third parties?”

Yes. Use Sale on Behalf of Third Parties (1.4), Clearance of Third-Party Sales with your commission (1.5) or Retail Receipt on Behalf of Third Parties (11.5). Cancelling a 1.4 or 11.5 issues the correct credit document; cancelling a 1.5 isn’t supported yet.

Yes. All sensitive data is encrypted at rest, and all communication with Shopify and AADE is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted to authorized service accounts and we follow GDPR best practices.

Your data is retained for legal and audit purposes (tax records must be kept for several years in Greece). If you need your data deleted, contact us and we’ll process a GDPR data deletion request.

Each submission includes:

  • Your company details (VAT, name, address)
  • Customer name and delivery address
  • Product line items (name, quantity, price)
  • Payment method
  • Document type and date

Three plans: Comply Starter (€9.99/month, 30 submissions), Comply Professional (€14.99/month, 60 submissions), Comply Growth (€29.99/month, 300 submissions). All plans include PDF generation and QR codes. See Plans & Pricing.

Yes. Every new installation includes 7 free submissions — no time limit, no credit card required. Use them to test the app with real orders before choosing a plan.

Successful submissions, delivery note cancellations, and credit notes all count. Failed submissions and pending submissions (before AADE confirms) do not count.

No. No setup fees, no per-document fees beyond your plan, and no charges for failed submissions. Cancellations and credit notes use one submission from your plan — never an extra charge. Pricing is fully transparent.

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from the app dashboard. When upgrading mid-cycle, the new plan’s quota is added to your current cycle.

Will I be charged twice if I subscribe again?

Section titled “Will I be charged twice if I subscribe again?”

No. Shopify allows only one active subscription per app. If you approve the same plan again, it replaces your current subscription at the same price, so you are not charged twice. Switching to a different plan follows the normal upgrade or downgrade rules.

What happens to my access if I cancel my subscription?

Section titled “What happens to my access if I cancel my subscription?”

You keep full access, with your plan’s quota, until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancelling in the app or in Shopify only stops future charges, and the dashboard shows the date your access ends. After that date, subscribe to a plan again to keep submitting. If you uninstall the app, access ends immediately.

What happens when I run out of submissions?

Section titled “What happens when I run out of submissions?”

You’ll see a notification in the dashboard. You can upgrade your plan immediately to get more submissions, or wait for the next billing cycle when your quota resets.

No. Submissions reset at the start of each 30-day billing cycle.

Where can I see how many submissions I have left?

Section titled “Where can I see how many submissions I have left?”

On the app dashboard. It shows the submissions used in your current billing cycle against your plan’s limit — 30 for Starter, 60 for Professional, 300 for Growth (plus any plan you upgraded to mid-cycle). The count resets automatically when Shopify renews your subscription.
